End
April 30th, 1916
This is the diary of William Ruben. I found this in the ruins of the General Post Office. William Ruben was shot on the 29th of April in Dublin by a man named Christian Mangle who is now a Captain of the Imperial British Empire. We suspect that he became a traitor to the crown and deserted the British Military to join forces and fight with the Irish against his own men. He died valiantly defending the rebel base. 200 people died yesterday in the attack of the General Post Office. 300 civilians died who had nothing to do with the cause. The entire city center was annihilated. Completely destroyed. 2,500 people were wounded. Only 500 of those numbers were fighters. We have 1,841 prisoners now and they will be sent to prisons in England. We have won the revolution and destroyed the Republican Movement but the word of Ireland separating is still very alive. May his soul rest in peace.
